Castiadas

A small town with a particular and evocative history; it is located in an area originally inhospitable due to the presence of swamps and malaria, which was reclaimed around 1875 by a colony of convicts who built the prison, where they were later exiled. Today, the prison has been converted into a museum where numerous initiatives are organized.

Muravera

The most important town of Sarrabus. Visiting it is always a surprise, especially in the summer season. During the summer, the entire town transforms, showcasing numerous small shops selling gastronomic specialties, handicrafts, and souvenirs. It is famous for the many festivals known throughout Sardinia, such as the citrus festival and the summer carnival. Definitely not to be missed are the Colostrai and Feraxi ponds, where you can admire a great variety of flora and fauna, a popular destination especially for birdwatchers.

Villasimius

A town famous for its beautiful beaches and nightlife, it attracts a large number of tourists every year. In the evening, the main streets are closed to traffic to allow tourists to enjoy the various shops offering local specialties and all the initiatives organized by the town itself, from concerts to the famous festivals.
